FlexCrete, a fiber-reinforced aerated concrete, provides many advantages over other traditional concrete construction alternatives. All FlexCrete materials provide a formulation using up to a 60% volume of fly ash, a recovered resource from coal fired powered plants. Impervious to mold and fungi, these materials have excellent thermal properties. FlexCrete block offers suitability for load bearing and non-load bearing walls in all types of commercial, industrial and residential applications.
FlexCrete comes typically in rectangular blocks or as Thin Cladding Boards (TCBs). An entirely solid material, FlexCrete can be sawed, drilled and shaped like wood using standard hand tools. Ordinary mortars and stuccos adhere to its surface, and the blocks weigh about one-fifth the weight of concrete.
An eight-inch section of FlexCrete with an exterior cementitious stucco coating and an interior plaster or gypsum board covering offers an estimated equivalent R-value of 25. The thermal mass of the material creates a lag time for heat to pass through the wall during heating and cooling cycles, minimizing high and low peak temperatures and thus minimizing the amount of energy required to heat or cool a building. |

Cannon Salvage, Inc., sister company of Trestlewood, specializes in preserving, disassembling, and re-using full Barn structures, sourced from Indiana and the surrounding states. For Barns targeted for dismantling and reassembling, Cannon Salvage offers documentation of the barn with pictures and drawings, then carefully disassembles the barn, makes any repairs to the frame deemed desirable, and provides a complete frame package for use in re-erecting the Barn in its new location. Once the barn becomes dismantled, the barn frame itself can also be re-used as a barn or put to use in an entirely new function. Vintage barn frames have been used for a wide variety of projects including homes, cabins, swimming pool barns, restaurants, workshops, guest homes, and many more. |

Trestlewood's Hand Hewn Timbers come salvaged from a variety of hand-built structures such as barns, mills, and elevators. Unique characteristics like weathering, pockets, and wear make each timber one-of-a-kind. Giving rustic authenticity, hand hewn timbers can be used for trusses, a frame or a single rustic mantel.
Sizing: generally close to square in dimension (6"x6", 8"x8", 10"x10"). Lengths are generally available up to 30' or longer, depending on inventory on hand.

Salty Fir Timber products come sawn from the Douglas Fir piling of the Great Salt Lake's Lucin Cutoff railroad trestle. TWII timber products include circle-sawn timbers, band-sawn timbers, planed timbers, weathered timbers and character timbers.
Sizing: From sizes of 8"x8" and 10"x10" up to 16' in length. Smaller, larger and longer timbers are also available.

Weathered Timbers are reclaimed from vintage structures, comprise mixed species with a range of colors and characteristics. Weathered Timbers become sorted for broadly defined characteristics (browns vs. grays or hardwoods vs. softwoods), with absolute consistency is neither desirable nor achievable.
Sizing: From 4" x 6" up to 12" x 16" or larger (depending on timbers availability) and up to 50' in length.

Douglas Fir Rescued Timbers come generally resawn from nature-damaged (fire, insect, etc.) logs or from by-products of sawmill, logging or other wood-processing operations. Often the logs from which these timbers are cut are "standing dead" and are more stable than timbers cut from green logs. Douglas Fir Rescued Timbers offer a competitively-priced alternative to reclaimed timbers in applications where the stability of reclaimed timbers does not become a crucial consideration.
Sizing: Standard sizes go up to 10" x 10" x 16'. With larger and longer Douglas Fir Rescued Timbers available. Rescued timbers are available in circle-sawn, band-sawn and planed surfacing.
